Dead Horse Point State Park - Weird Name, Great Views
Even though the potato cats had an amazing time touring Arches National Park, they unfortunately had to cut it short and find a campground quickly as they had overslept into the afternoon. They wound up at the entrance of Dead Horse Point State Park, where the park ranger told them that there was one campsite remaining. After a small debate, the cats happily took the campsite as it would allow them to see the park in the evening and in the morning. The views (especially the sunset and sunrise) were absolutely stellar, and the campground was clean and packed with features, like a fully functioning restroom, dishwashing station, and a table. Even though they weren't originally planning to stay at Dead Horse Point State Park, the potato cats don't regret their decision in the slightest and highly recommend a visit to the park (it's a must if you're close to Arches) , 11/10 paws.
Views that will make you go meow~:
Beautiful pictures! Hope the potato cats and their human counterparts are enjoying the adventure!
ReplyDelete"According to legend, the park is so named because of its use as a natural corral by cowboys in the 19th century, where horses often died of exposure."
